Earlier this week, local elections training was held for Britain First candidates in East Dorset, two of whom (Simon and Will, pictured) will be standing in Poole and one (George) in nearby Bournemouth.

It was a useful session, especially as in April Dorset is scrapping its existing councils and replacing them with two new unitary authorities, one covering Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch (effectively one large conurbation), and the other covering the rest of the county, most of which is rural.

Afterwards we spent a couple of hours leafleting the terraced streets and blocks of flats in the area behind Poole Quay.

It was a lovely sunny day - dare we say it, almost springlike!
